Always recently asked a group of adults and teens to act out what it means to do something “like a girl.” Their animated and admittedly ignorant responses displayed the negative things people associate with being a “girl.” Running like a girl means to daintily trot and throwing like a girl means to give up on your strength and launch the ball toward the ground. But why is it defined this way?
