1. Practice Yoga Often

Doing yoga breaks up long-developed scar tissue in your body that become troublesome. You’re less likely to pull muscles and deal with joint pain when you practice yoga regularly. 

2. Keep Your Weight Under Control

Carrying too much weight is one of the easiest ways to wear down and injure your joints. If you are overweight, it’s important that you get it under control in order to decrease the burden that your joints carry. 

Exercise on a regular basis so that you can begin burning more calories than you take in. This way, you’ll have the chance to slim down and avoid chronic pain and swelling in your joints. 

3. Eat Foods That Protect Your Joints

Make sure that you give your body the fuel that it needs to protect your joints. The best thing you can do is to eat foods that help rid your body of inflammation and improve blood flow. 

Almonds, flax seeds, cashews, hemp seeds, and chia seeds are all rich with omega 3 fatty acids and magnesium, both of which are helpful in getting rid of inflammation. You can also take in foods like leafy green vegetables that enrich your blood flow and help your cartilage and joints so stay healthy. 

At the same time, make sure that you drink lots of water each day so that your joints are fluid and that they have peak mobility. 

4. Start Swimming or Doing Pool Workouts

It’s helpful to do workouts that strengthen your joints without putting too much of a burden on your body. Swimming is a workout that helps to keep your joints healthy, without it causing the type of damage that you’d experience from running or lifting weights. 

If swimming isn’t your strong suit, there are plenty of water aerobics classes that you can take. Work hard to build strengthen your body to improve your muscle tone, endurance, and bone density.
