What if you were told there are 300 million tons of food wasted every year? Would it make you a less wasteful person or would you carry on as normal? As one grocery supplier put it, “everything that doesn’t fit into the norm, we toss.” Thanks to French giant Intermarche, food in France is no longer subject to the vanity of it’s appearance. When “reject” produce is on the assembly line this store lowers the prices and cuts waste by a tremendous margin. And it’s all in coolness and good health.
