A very inspiring, incredible young man has recently passed away. Sam Berns was diagnosed with progeria, a genetic condition that accelerates the aging process, at 22 months of age. Progeria affects 1 in 4 million children with a life expectancy averaging 13 years. Sam fought until he was 17. He was the subject of a documentary on HBO about his condition entitled Life According to Sam“. Here he is at TEDxMidAtlantic talking about his “Philosophy For A Happy Life”. Rest peacefully, Sam.
